Data generated from the Alum Innovative Exploration Project, one of several promising geothermal properties located in the middle to upper Miocene (~11-5 Ma, or million years BP) Silver Peak-Lone Mountain metamorphic core complex (SPCC) of the Walker Lane structural belt in Esmeralda County, west-central Nevada. The geothermal system at Alum is wholly concealed; its upper reaches discovered in the late 1970s during a regional thermal-gradient drilling campaign. The prospect boasts several shallow thermal-gradient (TG) boreholes with TG >75oC/km (and as high as 440oC/km) over 200-m intervals in the depth range 0-600 m. Possibly boiling water encountered at 239 m depth in one of these boreholes returned chemical- geothermometry values in the range 150-230oC. GeothermEx (2008) has estimated the electrical- generation capacity of the current Alum leasehold at 33 megawatts for 20 years; and the corresponding value for the broader thermal anomaly extending beyond the property at 73 megawatts for the same duration.

Dig into FY 2009 data on public library systems (referred to as administrative entities in the Public Libraries Survey) and main libraries, branches, and bookmobiles (outlets in PLS). Use the administrative entity data to explore system-level organizational characteristics, staff, income and expenditures, sizes of collections, and library services offered to the public. Use the outlet-level data to find organizational characteristics such as public service hours and weeks open per year. Downloadable data files for the FY 2009 data collection are provided in comma separated value (.csv) and SAS (.sas7bdat) formats.
To download the entire dataset click on https://fortress.wa.gov/dfw/public/PublicDownload/Habitat/HRCD/HRCD.zipThis dataset includes changes in land cover throughout Washington State, specifically areas of tree loss and development. Changes are represented as polygons and include qualitative descriptions and quantitative assessments of changes. Attributes provide details about causes of change (Change Agents), types of changes observed (e.g. canopy loss, impervious surface gain), area of change, and time period for when the change occurred. The change locations were identified from analyzing high resolution (1-meter) NAIP imagery, allowing changes as small as a single tree or new home to be identified. This dataset covers most of Western Washington and several counties in Eastern Washington. Coverage is split along county and/or WRIA boundaries and the time periods for change locations vary by county and/or WRIA. All areas in the dataset were assessed for changes between 2011 and 2017; additionally, some locations include changes as early as 2006 or as recent as 2019. Visit https://hrcd-wdfw.hub.arcgis.com/ or email HRCD@dfw.wa.gov for more information on how the data is created, accuracy information, tutorials, user guides, and current coverage information. This dataset is updated regularly (about twice a year) with more recent years of change, new counties / WRIAs, or both. This copy of the data was updated in July 2022.
