All doses were 1.0 μg. The number of feeding holes and eggs were recorded every 2 days on cut leaves of yellow starthistle at room temperature (12 h photoperiod, temperature range 17 to 21°C).

experiment 3

Females from experiment 3 that did not oviposit consistently were treated with 1.0 μg of 20-ecdysone followed 2 days later by 1.0 μg of methoprene. The treatments AA, AM, 2M refer to experiment 3. The number of feeding holes and eggs were recorded every 2 days on cut leaves of yellow starthistle at room temperature (12 h photoperiod, temperature range 17 to 21°C).
