Human-caused greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions drive climate change. This dataset includes time series of emissions data by country using four measures that differ in scope and methodology: Climate Watch, PIK PRIMAP-hist, UNFCCC and GCP. The Paris Agreement requires participating countries to submit emission inventories that are based on activities within their territory. All the inventories on Climate Watch are based on this production-based accounting. This dataset is published via Climate Watch, a free online platform designed to empower policymakers, researchers, media and other stakeholders with the open climate data, visualizations and resources they need to gather insights on national and global progress on climate change.

This data set is associated with the Nevada Play Fairway project. Excel file 5-Area Chem contains all the major chemistry for the areas sampled in the project. New analyses are in lines 2-30, while older analyses appear below that. Field Data excel file contains both field notes and data with ninety entries showing sixty areas not sampled either because they were to dry, cold, or unable to locate. Thirty sites were sampled and their sample numbers appear in this file corresponding to those in the 5-Area Chemistry file. Excel file 5-Area Geothermometer contains a summary of geothermometers calculated for the new and historical data sets. Scanned field sheets are attached as a pdf.

This dataset provides counts of tap ons and tap offs made on the Opal ticketing system during two non-consecutive weeks in 2016. The Opal tap on and tap off dataset contains six CSV files covering two weeks (14 days) of Opal data across the four public transport modes. Privacy is the utmost priority for all Transport for NSW Open Data and there is no information that can identify any individual in the Open Opal Tap On and Tap Off data. The Historical Weather API is based on reanalysis datasets and uses a combination of weather station, aircraft, buoy, radar, and satellite observations to create a comprehensive record of past weather conditions. These datasets are able to fill in gaps by using mathematical models to estimate the values of various weather variables. As a result, reanalysis datasets are able to provide detailed historical weather information for locations that may not have had weather stations nearby, such as rural areas or the open ocean. The spatial resolution of a weather reanalysis dataset refers to the size of the grid cells used to represent the data. In the case of the reanalysis dataset described, the cells covering land have a resolution of 11 km, while those covering the ocean have a resolution of 25 km. For the region of Europe, the resolution is increased to 5 km, although this higher resolution is only available up until June 2021, with real-time updates expected to be available sometime in 2023. In general, a higher spatial resolution means that the data is more detailed and represents the weather conditions more accurately at smaller scales. The historic API takes the same parameters and gives the same response as the forecast API, but adds start_date and end_date

This dataset provides estimates of train loads during the AM and PM peak periods - derived from a survey held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1 March 2016 to 17 March 2016. The primary purpose of the train load surveys is to support service planning and rail timetabling. Surveys are conducted in March and September. March loads are the preferred dataset for network planning as it reflects the busiest time of year for train travel and is less subject to seasonal factors. The March loads are usually higher and provide a better gauge of rail system performance.

Data included in ROAM - Rail Opal Assignment Model - includes Sydney Trains (T1 - T9) and Metro (Metro North West line) services. Note: With the introduction of the new City and Southwest Metro line, Transport is moving to a new Opal Allocation Model to handle the complexity that these new services will bring. The legacy Rail Opal Allocation Model (ROAM) data will be replaced with a new Near Real Time (NRT) ROAM from May 2024.

"This report contains maps and associated spatial data showing historical oil and gas exploration and production in the United States. Because of the proprietary nature of many oil and gas well databases, the United States was divided into cells one-quarter square mile and the production status of all wells in a given cell was aggregated. Base-map reference data are included, using the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) National Map, the USGS and American Geological Institute (AGI) Global GIS, and a World Shaded Relief map service from the ESRI Geography Network. A hardcopy map was created to synthesize recorded exploration data from 1859, when the first oil well was drilled in the U.S., to 2005. In addition to the hardcopy map product, the data have been refined and made more accessible through the use of Geographic Information System (GIS) tools. The cell data are included in a GIS database constructed for spatial analysis via the USGS Internet Map Service or by importing the data into GIS software such as ArcGIS. The USGS internet map service provides a number of useful and sophisticated geoprocessing and cartographic functions via an internet browser. Also included is a video clip of U.S. oil and gas exploration and production through time."

This image service shows historical floating kelp locations along the Washington Coast and Puget Sound.  It combines nine map sheets that were originally published in 1912.  They summarize field surveys from 1911-1912.  The Puget Sound surveys were conducted by Rigg.  The maps were scanned and georeferenced, and the image service is hosted by the Washington Department of Natural Resources.
