The Fire Services Act, 1981 sets out the rules and regulations for that the fire service works to. The NDFEM provides support to the Local Authorities to make sure these rules and regulations are put in place and that health and safety is prioritised. We provide funding to the fire service for the purchase of appliances and equipment. We also support the fire service by running a national training programme and by publishing guidance on relevant matters and by setting general policy.
Fast Reserve provides the rapid and reliable delivery of active power through an increased output from generation or a reduction in consumption from demand sources, following receipt of an electronic dispatch instruction from National Grid Electricity System Operator (ESO). These reports provide information about the volume of, and time periods over which, Fast Reserve has been required. **Note** - Since the introduction of Fast Reserve dispatch instructions to our [NBM ASDP report](https://data.nationalgrideso.com/ancillary-services/non-bm-ancillary-service-dispatch-platform-asdp-instructions) on our data portal in 2020, we have continued to provide the Fast Reserve Market Information report (MIR). As the NBM ASDP report is available in CSV format and contains all of the data that we use to create the monthly Fast Reserve MIR, we believe that market providers can now use the machine readable format to undertake their own analysis of the Fast Reserve service and create bespoke reporting. In addition, as Fast Reserve is only being procured through the Optional service, there is no tender results data to share as part of market information. Therefore, we intend to stop producing the MIR for future months, and just retain all the historical MIR on our data portal, with the June 2021 report being the last one published.

This dataset provides estimates of train loads during the AM and PM peak periods - derived from a survey held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1 March 2016 to 17 March 2016. The primary purpose of the train load surveys is to support service planning and rail timetabling. Surveys are conducted in March and September. March loads are the preferred dataset for network planning as it reflects the busiest time of year for train travel and is less subject to seasonal factors. The March loads are usually higher and provide a better gauge of rail system performance.
The Government’s Housing For All – A New Housing Plan for Ireland proposed a new tax to activate vacant land for residential purposes as a part of the Pathway to Increasing New Housing Supply. The Residential Zoned Land Tax was introduced by the Finance Act 2021 . The dataset contains the land identified as being covered by the tax from all of the local authorities in the state. The available datasets will comprise the draft maps, published on 1 November 2022 and the supplemental maps, published on 1 May 2023.The dataset will identify serviced land in cities, towns and villages which is residentially zoned and ‘vacant or idle’ mixed use land. The lands identified on the maps are considered capable of increasing housing supply as a consequence. Certain settlements will not be identified due to lack of capacity or services or due to out of date zonings. The dataset will also identify the amount in hectares of zoned serviced land for each settlement

Hunger is one of the most severe roadblocks to the learning process. Lack of nutrition during the summer months may set up a cycle for poor performance once school begins again. Hunger also may make children more prone to illness and other health issues. The Summer Food Service Program is designed to fill that nutrition gap and make sure children can get the nutritious meals they need. This data set contains information on summer food service participation, meals served and cash payments provided by state.
