Institute for sustainable futures (ISF)

This research documents the development of energy scenarios for industry sectors classified under the Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS). A bottom-up energy demand analysis based on market projections for the chemical, aluminium, and steel industries forms the basis for scenario development, with the aim of completely decarbonising the electricity and process heat supplies for these industries by 2050. It documents the individual steps in the energy demand analyses based on industry-specific market projections and energy intensities.

The Leadership Group for Industry Transition (LeadIT) gathers countries and companies that are committed to action to achieve the Paris Agreement. It was launched by the governments of Sweden and India at the UN Climate Action Summit in September 2019 and is supported by the World Economic Forum.
LeadIT members subscribe to the notion that energy-intensive industry can and must progress on low-carbon pathways, aiming to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.

Green Steel Transition Brief

The Green Steel Tracker aims to support decision makers in policy and industry, academia as well as civil society, by tracking public announcements of low-carbon investments in the steel industry and presenting them transparently in one place.
The dataset focuses on primary steelmaking, by low-carbon investment, we refer to investments that are linked to ambitious climate targets in line with the goals of the Paris Agreement.
