This level dataset shows the level data for Wessex Water’s Event Duration Monitors – monitors at combined sewer overflows showing the height of the sewage flow in our network at any given time.

SEPA has approximately 275 rain gauges which measure the amount of precipitation (mm) via Tipping Bucket Rain Gauges (TBR). The data reported here gives accumulated totals for each 15 min period. The data is typically transferred once or twice per day.

SEPA has records for river levels at 563 sites around Scotland. The main reason that SEPA records river levels is to calculate the flows in the river. Knowledge of the flow of water in a river is important in order to effectively manage that water. River flow information is also useful in evaluating changes in the environment due to changes in land use or climate change. Flood warning is one of the main drivers for collecting river level data.

The Water Classification Hub shows the status of the surface waters, ground waters and protected areas in Scotland, classified under the Water Framework Directive (WFD) scheme.

This data set has been developed by assimilating spatial data from Scottish Natural Heritage. The whole country has not yet been surveyed and as a result the data set only displays known wetlands. The wetland inventory database comprises a number of fields that include the main WFD95 wetland type, the original habitat survey information and whether the wetland polygon is within a statutory designated site. The wetland typology (WFD95) is used as the main identifying field for each polygon in the inventory database.

This endpoint provides daily average GB temperature data (in Celsius). This average data is calculated by National Grid ESO from the data retrieved from 6 weather stations around Britain. NGESO use this data as part of the electricity demand forecasting process

The Scottish Pollutant Release Inventory (SPRI) is a Pollutant Release and Transfer Register (PRTR) and has the primary purpose of making publicly available officially reported annual releases of specified pollutants to air and water from SEPA-regulated industrial facilities. It also provides information on off-site transfers of waste and waste-water from these facilities.

This data has been collected from the online calculator that has been in place on Wessex Water’s website over the past four years. Customers fill in their household usage data and the variety of appliances they have in their homes

Wessex Water has over 400 water recycling centers (WRC's) across our region. This dataset contains key geographic information about: site location and the water catchment it is situated in, and the geographic area it serves

The water resources management plan sets out how, over the next 25 years, Wessex Water will balance water supplies with water demands to ensure adequate water supply for their customers, whilst also protecting the environment. Water companies are required to prepare and maintain a water resources plan on a five-yearly cycle. The spreadsheets contain key market information for the company’s water resource zone, including key information about Levels of Service, and source types. The spreadsheets also include direct copies of information from the Water Resources Management Plan (WRMP) tables, relating to the supply-demand balance from 2020-2045, and information on investment options and costs, as included in the WRMP. The information is collated on a 5-yearly cycle as part of the WRMP and business plan process.One spreadsheet is provided for the Dry Year Annual Average (DYAA) planning scenario and one spreadsheet is provided for the dry Year Critical Period Scenario (DYCP).
