BBER's socio-economic database is organized geographically. You can access New Mexico data at the levels of the state, counties, incorporated places, tribal areas, and colonias via the menu on the left. There are also variables representing national data sets and New Mexico's position relative to other states below.

Earth Data Analysis Center (EDAC) and BBER have been involved in a cooperative program to provide data for use in GIS systems for over 30 years. The New Mexico Resource Geographic Information System (RGIS) was designated as the state digital geospatial data clearinghouse by the New Mexico Legislature in 2013. NM RGIS is the state's only geospatial data clearinghouse. Recently, BBER created an interactive RGIS tool, accessible in the left pane, that allows users to pull New Mexico MSA, city or county economic data from its database. User selections are merged with appropriate geographies from the Census Bureau Geography Program to create unique shape files for use in GIS programs.
