Overview

(Link to Metadata) Wind power predictions at 50m are generated by a numerical model that simulates weather conditions over a 15-year period, taking into account geophysical inputs such as elevation, land use, and vegetation. The information was produced by TrueWind Solutions using their Mesomap system. This work was commissioned by the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, in conjunction with the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund and Northeast Utilities, and the results have been validated by NREL (National Renewable Energy Laboratory).
